Salesforce Tower, formerly known as the Transbay Tower, is a 1,070 ft (326 m)[1] skyscraper under construction in the South of Market district of downtown San Francisco. Located at 415 Mission Street between First and Fremont Streets, next to the Transbay Transit Center site, Salesforce Tower is the centerpiece of the San Francisco Transbay redevelopment plan that contains a mix of office, transportation, and residential uses. When completed, the tower will be the tallest in San Francisco and a defining building in the burgeoning South of Market area. It will also be the tallest building west of the Mississippi River until the Wilshire Grand Tower in Los Angeles, which will surpass the tower by 30 ft at 1100 ft, is completed.
