Oriense is working on computer vision and navigation for robotics in Central R&D Institute of Robotics. Upon the advice of one blind person, we realized that our achievements could be adapted to help visually impaired people: after all, so were the robots we were working on. We make our products together with the blind community to produce useful and desired devices for our customers. We believe that modern technologies can tackle challenges of the blind and visually impaired. And our goal is to give any blind person an opportunity for new abilities

New sense of independence and world exploration Oriense is a talking device for blind and visually impaired, that solves three major problems: obstacle avoidance, geo-navigation and image recognition.

Our devices are already in use in Eastern Europe and our technology is generating a ton of positive and highly inspiring feedback, including stories and audio-podcasts.

OrNavi – multifunctional GPS / GLONASS navigator designed specifically for blind people. Fully autonomous, no need to connect to mobile networks. The design and interface are thought out for easy and intuitive device control and information receiving.

OrCV – special extension for the navigator that uses 3Dcamera to gather information about the environment. It allows to navigate safely, especially by detecting dangerous objects in advance, as well it helps in recognition of different objects.
