1986 – U.S. Lawns is founded in Orlando, Florida.
1987 – The first independent franchisee is awarded a territory in Palm Beach County, Florida.
1993 – U.S. Lawns expands to ten franchise locations throughout the state of Florida.
1995 – Ken Hutcheson joins the U.S. Lawns Home Office team.
1996 – Industry leader ValleyCrest Landscape Companies acquires U.S. Lawns.
1998 – U.S. Lawns launches strategic accounts program to service “branded” multi-property customers. New franchise training is revamped, placing a stronger emphasis on business management.
1999 – U.S. Lawns opens its 25th franchise location and appears in Lawn & Landscape’s Top 100 at #50.
2001 – The U.S. Lawns network surpasses the 50-location mark and has some fun sharing its unique selling proposition with the market. Watch the video!
2002 – Ken Hutcheson becomes President of U.S. Lawns. Entrepreneur Magazine ranks U.S. Lawns #417 in its annual Franchise 500 issue.
2003 – U.S. Lawns opens its 100th location and now operates in 25 states. National marketing initiative is launched and partnerships are created with BOMA, CAI and ICSC
2004 – U.S. Lawns begins its educational and motivational mission, hiring a full time training director and implementing regional training programs. System wide sales top $50 million.

2011 – U.S. Lawns celebrates its 25th year anniversary. System wides sales top $100 million as U.S. Lawns reaches #9 in Lawn & Landscapes Top 100.
2012 – The company tops the 250-location mark and expands into state #40. Strategic Accounts now working with more than 40 regional/national customers. Entrepreneur Magazine ranks U.S. Lawns #138 in the annual Franchise 500 issue.
