BASIS Tucson North is both the most established BASIS School and one of the newest BASIS Schools in the BASIS family of schools. Located at the crossroads of three different public school districts at the southeast corner of River and Craycroft, BASIS Tucson North has the capacity for 1000 students, serves Grades 5-12, and is the largest BASIS campus in existence. Built in 2012, our state-of-the-art facility houses the Upper School faculty and students who earned the flagship, BASIS Tucson, its numerous accolades, including a #1 national ranking on the 2012 Washington Post “Challenge List.”

As in all BASIS Schools, the BASIS Tucson North Lower School program focuses on building organizational and study skills and creating a deep knowledge base necessary for students to tackle the demanding AP-based upper school curriculum. Taught by teachers who are experts in their fields, the Lower School curriculum includes coursework in Classics, Latin, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Algebra, U. S. and World History, English, Kenpo and Fine Arts.

The BASIS Tucson North Upper School is consistently ranked as one of the top 10 high school programs in the country by U.S. News, Newsweek, and The Washington Post. AP exams are required and paid for by the school. Upper School students can begin taking Advanced Placement exams as early as the eighth grade and will take at least eight AP courses and six AP exams by the end of their junior year.
