North Hills Prep is located in Northwest Dallas county and has no district boundaries. North Hills Prep’s charter was approved by the state of Texas in April 1996, and the first graduating class of 2002 contained 18 seniors.

Angela Farley – President

Angela Farley is the Chief Financial Officer of Command and Control Environments, Inc. in Grapevine, Texas. She is a member of the Finance Committee for Uplift Education. She is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants and the National Contract Management Association. Ms. Farley received her bachelor’s degree in both economics and finance from Baylor University and her master’s degree in business administration from the University of California. The Farley family has been with NHP for seven years.

Laurie Elmore has more than 19 years of tax planning and consulting experience. As a senior tax director at BDO Seidman, LLP. Laurie prepares and reviews federal and state tax returns for high net worth individuals, private equity groups, corporations, family partnerships, trusts and estates as well as non-profit entities. She also provides tax consulting services and assistance with governmental agency examinations. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of CPAs. Laurie earned her Masters in Taxation and BBA in Accounting from Baylor University.

Mark graduated with a B.A. and a Bachelor of Architecture at Rice University. He is currently Principal, and Global Director of Education for HKS Architects, Inc. Mark has served as DFW Chapter President and Regional Board Member for the Council of Educational Facility Planners International Southern Region. He also served as a Texas representative for the National Center for the 21st Century Schoolhouse in San Diego, California. He has received many professional honors and awards, including the CEFPI Southern Region Cornerstone Award. His professional associations include the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Committee for Architects in Education, Texas Society of Architects, Texas College and University Facilities Association, the Society for College and University Planning, and the Council of Educational Facility Planners International.

Shadab Shahabuddin has been a proud parent and volunteer at North Hills Preparatory for the last seven years. Three of her children have grown up at North Hills; one of her daughters graduated from NHP in 2009, the other will be a senior next year, and her son will be a junior in high school. She began her involvement at NHP as a volunteer at the front desk and the library in 2005, and since then her work has expanded to include the annual International Festivities, Science Fairs, Pancake Breakfasts, Annual Funds, and Open Houses. After three years of volunteering, she was offered a position as co-leader of the Volunteers in Partnership at NHP, an honor she accepted instantly. During her time as a ViP co-leader, she was able to work closely with the NHP administration, staff, and parents as she took part in regular school events such as the induction ceremonies, award ceremonies, hospitality, teacher and volunteer appreciation weeks, AP/IB oasis, uniform re-sales, organizing the school directory, and the NHP auctions. She has also worked closely with the Panther Dads and the Primary Division of NHP. Currently, she serves on the Enrichment Committee and working closely with the Admissions Director. Before she began at North Hills Preparatory, she was heavily involved in the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) at Las Colinas Elementary School, where she received the lifetime membership award, and the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) at Valley Ranch Elementary School, where she was the volunteer coordinator.

Dustin Marshall

Dustin currently serves as CEO of Hazel’s Hot Shot, which is one of the largest expedited freight carriers in Texas. Hazel’s provides emergency freight and brokerage services to thousands of companies throughout the 48 contiguous United States via a variety of vehicles and air freight services. Prior to joining Hazel’s, Dustin was a Manager in the Chicago office of Bain & Company, a leading global consultancy. At Bain, Dustin led consulting teams in their work with Fortune 500 companies on topics ranging from Supply Chain Optimization to Sales & Marketing Effectiveness, to Merger Integration to Portfolio Management. Dustin has worked with senior leadership teams at over 20 companies in industries ranging from industrial manufacturing to IT distribution to medical devices to retail. Prior to working with Bain, Dustin also spent time with Alliance Consulting, Fidelity Investments, and Walmart.com.
Dustin has a Bachelors of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also did graduate work at the London School of Business and has a Masters in Business Administration from Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
Dustin lives in Preston Hollow neighborhood of Dallas and is heavily involved in the DFW community. Dustin is very passionate about education reform and serves on the Advisory Board of Uplift Education and has agreed to serve on the newly formed Advisory Board of KIPP Dallas. He is also a member of Entrepreneurs of North Texas (EFNT), Dallas Kids First, and is a Partner with the Dallas Social Venture Partners (DSVP). Dustin is married to his lovely wife, Denise, and has three children, Lilianna, Jackson, and Hailey.

Beth Bowman is the Chief Development Officer for the Greater Irving-Las Colinas 5-Star Chamber of Commerce. In her current capacity, Ms. Bowman plans and designs program initiatives and strategic projects for business partnerships, stakeholders and investors. With a passion for success, she is known by her colleagues to deliver results when others are saying, it can’t be done. She inspires future leaders through her non-profit board service having served with: Uplift Education Board of Directors-Irving Board, Big Brothers Big Sisters – Big Black Tie Ball Committee, Brighter Tomorrows Board of Directors, Irving Schools Foundation, Irving Healthcare Foundation – Texas Fest, Silent Auction Committee and others. Ms. Bowman is a graduate of Baylor University, active member of the Junior League of Dallas and the mother of two beautiful, active children, ages 3 and 4 with her husband Steven.
