All three Archimedean Schools are conservatories of mathematics and the Greek language seeking to foster thinking skills, well-roundedness, intellectual curiosity, strong work ethics, and sound ethical conduct, believing that all students deserve to reach their full potentials and lead happy, fulfilling, opportunity-rich lives. A.U.C. is a coeducational, partial Greek immersion charter school spanning grades 9 – 12, enrolling in 2012-13 192 students who enjoy an average class size of 19.2 Students follow an academically rigorous, balanced college preparatory program culminating in a standard Florida high school diploma. Embodying the motto that for everyone “knowledge equals freedom,” A.U.C., despite its unique and incredibly intensive curriculum, is a public institution open to any Miami-Dade county resident. The twelve-acre campus is located in the suburban Kendall region of west Miami, Florida, leading to a predominantly Hispanic, working to lower middle class student body, a majority of which will be considered first generation U.S. college students. A.U.C. employs 22 full- and part-time faculty, 82% of which hold two or more degrees at the bachelor’s level or higher, with 68% having earned graduate degrees.

Founding Vision and History
The school’s vision is to offer a rigorous, balanced, and nurturing education of the highest possible quality in an effort to prepare students for successful passage all the way through to the best graduate programs in the world and develop lifelong learners capable of sound critical thinking. The Archimedean dream began with a desire of a committee of Greek and Greek-Americans in Miami, Florida, who aspired to establish a school that attends, in an unparalleled manner, to the academic, social, and moral growth of its students in a partial-immersion conservatory of mathematics and Greek language. Archimedean Upper Conservatory (A.U.C.) opened its doors in August 2008 as the newest addition to the Archimedean Academy (K-5) and Archimedean Middle Conservatory (6-8) schools. Archimedean Upper Conservatory was accredited in June 2012 by AdvancED (SACS-CASI). Archimedean Academy and Archimedean Middle Conservatory have earned the Blue Ribbon Award.
