三藩市金門基督教會 Golden Gate Christian Church
Church History
The Golden Gate Christian Reformed Church, San Francisco was founded by Rev & Mrs. Peter Yang. In August 1965, they held the first service in their living room with 16 people. Since then the church has moved to two other locations including 18th Ave YMCA and a 25th Ave house. On April 22, 1984, the church moved to its present location at 378 18th Avenue, San Francisco. A highlight of the celebration was Mayor Diane Feinstein’s declaration of April 22, 1984 as “Golden Gate Christian Reformed Church Day.” One of the reasons for this honor is the church’s active outreach community program that included the School for Developmentally Disabled, the After School Program, the Chinese School, and Agapeland. Today the church has a total membership of about 450 worshippers with a wide array of ministries for everyone in the different stages of their life cycle. There are three separate services – Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. Each congregation with its own pastor. GLORY BE TO GOD!
