About
Mountain Camp Woodside is a traditional sleep-away Resident Camp (for grades 2nd – 10th) and is nestled in the heart of beautiful Portola Valley, California on the 63-acre campus of the Woodside Priory School.

Mountain Camp Woodside’s minimal technology, non-competitive program is designed to build confidence and independence, encourage friendships and healthy lifestyle choices. We offer activities like mountain biking, arts & crafts, soccer, swimming, archery and outdoor survival. In today’s hectic, high-tech world, we believe a back-to-basics approach to outdoor recreation and plain ol’ fashion “fun” is critical to building a child’s positive self-image.

A quality summer camp experience will provide education, challenge, achievement and acceptance. Mountain Camp Woodside’s unique atmosphere allows children to learn in a fun and safe environment that encourages independence while nurturing lasting friendships. From campfire songs and skits to the first time away from home, the camp experience can have a profound impact on a child’s development.

Mountain Camp Woodside has been accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and is an active member of the Western Association of Independent Camps (WAIC).

How We Accommodate International Campers

We prefer our campers to fly into Sacramento Airport (SMF). Free shuttle ride from SMF to Mountain Camp approximately 1 hr & 30 minutes. Please inquire about flying into San Francisco International airport (SFO). Please call our office for flight time guide lines.

At Summer Discovery UCLA, we help you prepare for your transition from high school to college. Our pre-college program combines academics, athletics, and activities to give high school students a great introduction to college life.

During our 31 year partnership with UCLA Summer Sessions, UCLA Anderson, UCLA Extension, and UCLA Recreation, we have provided incredible summer experiences for over 15,000 high school students.

Our staff greets all incoming flights. We provide escorted transfers from/to the airport and assist with the departure process. Students are assigned a Residential Counselor for support during the program.

Additionally, students receive a free 45 minute one-on-one college consultations with Collegewise and also receive access to our webinar series taught by former admissions officers about “How to apply to US universities as an international student.”

Summer Discovery UCLA Rates & Dates

6 Weeks: 6/25- 8/5; $9,999 Pre-College Program
5 Weeks: 6/25 – 7/29; $8,599 Pre-College Program

6 week session open to students completing grades 10, 11, & 12.

2, 3, and 5 week sessions open to students completing grades 9, 10, 11, & 12.

Tuition includ es: Term fees, academic program, use of facilities, housing, 3 meals daily while on campus (2 meals on weekends), recreation access, activities, blanket and pillow, and sheets and towel with weekly linen exchange.

Not includ ed: Application fee, $70 student ID/technology fee, airfare, airport transfers (Available for $75 each way), class materials, course supplements, $50 document fee for unlimited official UCLA transcripts (6 week program only), meals eaten off campus, medical expenses, laundry, souvenirs, and personal spending money.
