About Us

Hong Kong Student Association (HKSA) was established in November 2004 to strengthen the relationship between the Duke Community and the Hong Kong Community.
HKSA aims to:

Help new students adjust to life at Duke and in the United States.
Create a supportive and friendly environment at Duke for Hong Kong students.
Raise awareness of Hong Kong culture through various events and activities.
Encourage active participation in the Durham and Duke community to Hong Kong students.
Promote Duke University in Hong Kong.
Work closely with the Duke Alumni Association in Hong Kong, organizing networking events, dinner socials and other activities.

We organize monthly gatherings, often around lunch or dinner, encouraging participation not only from members, but also anyone who is interested in joining or are just looking for a good time! Sometimes, we may even be more adventurous and organize events such as visiting Duke’s Lemur Center, or even playing paintball in the nearby Raleigh! The possibilities are limitless!

This year, our newly elected president, Byron Ho, is eager to encourage more participation in HKSA events. Branching out HKSA and organizing events such as cross-association evenings is going to be a big part of the association this year, so come join in! You’re not going to want to miss out!
