Less than 12 miles south of the well-known Filoli Mansion and Gardens on the Peninsula, the Allied Arts Guild has created a serene garden landscape to provide inspiration for the artists it supports. Taking a cue from the building complex’s 1929, Spanish Colonial-style stucco and red-tile roof design with murals and wrought iron details, the gardens also call Spain to mind.

The entry Court of Abundance, named for the golden color of the marigolds, wallflowers and nasturtiums, is modeled after a Moorish orangerie, with orange trees rising from a geometric pattern of low hedges around a quatrefoil fountain.

The Rose Allee was inspired by the pathway where Spanish kings and queens walked in the gardens of the Alhambra; the Garden of Delight is also called the Blue Garden, with its blue Nile lilies, aster, salvia and hydrangea, set around a blue-tiled fountain. Visitors are welcome Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.etric pattern of low hedges around a quatrefoil fountain.
