Overview of Onyx SF:

Onyx will be developed in two phases.

Phase One is complete. It involved the demolition of existing buildings at 17th & De Haro Streets and the construction of a new, four-story building containing 10 one-bedroom homes and 10 two-bedroom homes over ground-floor commercial/retail space.

Phase Two will bring a mirror-image building with a slightly different unit mix that sits at the corner of 17th & Carolina Streets: 12 one-bedroom condos and nine two-bedroom condos, as well as commercial space and common area on the ground floor. Phase Two construction is underway with completion expected at the end of 2015.

Onyx SF Parking:
There are 29 parking spaces in the Phase One building: 18 for the residential homes and 11 for the commercial/retail businesses on the ground floor. Parking spaces will be provided for 11 bicycles in Phase One.

In Phase Two, another 18 spaces for homes and 11 for commerical space will be built along with parking for 11 bicycles.

Amenities and Finishes for Onyx SF:
Select homes in Phase 1 have private decks or balconies. Solar panels will provide common-area power. A shared rooftop deck offers seating, a barbecue area, free wifi hotspots and views of downtown. The homes are finished with European oak wide-plank floors with radiant heat, quartz counters, high-end appliances and in-unit laundry.

Below Market Rate (Inclusionary Housing) Homes:
To fulfill part of the city’s requirement for affordable housing units, Onyx will have two on-site BMRs — one one-bedroom home and one two-bedroom home, one in each phase of the development. The developer will also pay an in-lieu fee for the construction of additional affordable housing units to fulfill the remainder of the requirement.
