Merlone Geier Partners is buying properties near the Village at San Antonio Center in Mountain View as it prepares its $180 million redevelopment there, the Palo Alto Daily News reports.

The real estate investment company is purchasing properties to add future phases to the project.

The development will include a housing complex with underground parking, a Safeway, 35 small businesses and a park.
