Mountain View Says Project Too Dense

Mountain View’s City Council on Tuesday said the second phase of a development project at the San Antonio Shopping Center was too intense and sent it back to the drawing board, the Palo Alto Daily News reports.

The project proposed by Merlone Geier Partners sought to build three Class A office buildings along with up to 70,000 square feet of retail space and a hotel on an 8.8-acre site.

The council supported the concept but was concerned that it exceeded density guidelines in Mountain View’s general plan.
