It’s one heart-warming story after another at this hospital treating children with cancer. All 4,000 employees work at one location, a lush 62-acre campus in Memphis. Many employees are imbued with a tremendous sense living for something bigger than themselves. One of the major events of the year is the Memphis St. Jude Marathon Weekend, which gives employees a direct role in fundraising for the children they care for each day. One employee, who had cancer when she was a kid told us: “This year marks the sixth year that I will participate in the St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend as a St. Jude Hero and captain of my team. Each year that I work here, and each anniversary, provides me with another opportunity to give back so that St. Jude can provide countless other children with anniversaries of their own.” Read the Great Place to Work review here.
