High quality food at an affordable price isn’t always easy to find, but Donato Scotti tries to do just that at his restaurant Donato Enoteca in Downtown Redwood City.
Donato has been working in the restaurant business for roughly 30 years, starting at the age of 14 in Italy. In 1989 he came to the US and has lived in New York and Los Angeles, where he worked for
fine dining restaurants as he ascended up the culinary ranks. Now he is proud to have his own restaurant in Redwood City.
Cooking has always been a passion for him, and having his own restaurant has been a lifelong dream. Focusing on providing a high quality dish for an affordable price, Donato notes that the location may appear intimidating but his prices aren’t. He wants to bring some of Italy’s “contemporary dishes, without losing traditions” to Redwood City, so he visits Italy once a year to stay current with new Italian dishes. His most popular dishes are the Agnolotti Del Plin and the Bigoli e Coda – you can’t go wrong with either one!
