Greg Quarles, PhD   Operations

Greg Quarles is a globally recognized executive and leader in the filed of solid-state lasers and opto-electronic technology. Over the past 27 years, Greg has held positions at federal laboratories and in public and private industry ranging from R&D leadership, operations, business development compliance and executive oversight with a focus on optimization and packaging of laser sources and the delivery of visible to infrared light to a variety of targets. He studied at Oklahoma State University, and earned a dual BS (Mathematics and Physics), and an MS and PhD in Physics.

Dr. Gregory J. Quarles, Greg, Ph.D., has been the President and Chief Operating Officer of B.E. Meyers & Co., Inc. since June 2010. Dr. Quarles has extensive leadership experience in developing and executing corporate growth and technology plans. He served as the Director of Corporate Research, Development and Technology for II-VI Incorporated, Dr. Quarles led the development of new solid-state laser materials and laser devices for medical, military and industrial applications. His previous experience at II-VI includes managing corporate R&D budgets exceeding $25M annually leading federal government interactions, and directing the oversight of the corporate technology roadmap, including delegation to each of the various subsidiaries. Dr. Quarles is a graduate of Oklahoma State University and holds a dual BS in Math and Physics, and a Master’s of Science and Doctorate in Physics.
