Who We Are
Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services was co-founded by Kiran and Philip Yocom created from Kiran Yocom’s personal mission to care for those who are unable to care for themselves. Before coming to the United States from India, Kiran worked with Mother Teresa for 14 years. Currently, Kiran serves as our organization’s Chairwoman, and Philip as the President/CEO of our organization.
How we’ve grown
Since 1998, we have grown from our first match to working with hundreds of helpers and clients. We’ve continued to grow geographically. We continue to expand the training for our helpers. And we’ve added services in response to the needs of our clients.
We are continuing to grow and actively seeking Seniors Helping Seniors franchise partners throughout the country.
“What’s important is that we bring respect, understanding and caring to each other — that we bring the best part of ourselves to each relationship
Our Services
At Seniors Helping Seniors Services, we start with understanding who you are and what you need to make life easier.
Our loving, caring, compassionate seniors are here to help in the home and to provide companionship. Whether it’s mowing the lawn, shoveling the snow, taking you shopping, going to the movies or the doctor, cleaning, cooking or even just changing the light bulb. Whether it’s for a couple of hours, a day, or even overnight.
Our providers come from many walks of life. Many of them have come from the helping professions as nurses, teachers, and aides. Many are also transitioning in their work from careers in the military, law, and even accounting. Regardless of the career path they had before, all of our providers come with a big heart and a desire to serve the other. They know that helping out another person is the way to add meaning and fulfillment to their own lives.
Through careful interviewing and background checks we insure that every provider meets the Seniors Helping Seniors standards. And we work diligently to match those who need help with providers they will be comfortable with.
