About TAAMN

It is difficult to pinpoint exactly when the Taiwanese first arrived in the State of Minnesota. In 1960, about 32 students from Taiwan were studying in the Twin Cities. The Formosan American Club of Minnesota was founded six years later. With 114 members, it became the predecessor of the Taiwanese Association of America-Minnesota Chapter. The Taiwanese Foundation was also established in 1966. Since then, the Taiwanese community has grown from about 100 people some 35 years ago to several hundred people today.
