We are a focused, driven, agile group of Engineers & Designers committed to site water resource management and irrigation system design.  With offices in Colorado and Arizona, we have worked in some tough climactic regions, and are well placed to offer sustainable solutions to a variety of challenges.  One of our core strengths is an ability to assimilate well with a team, to offer key support while balancing the many design and implementation factors latent in a complex projects.

Hines has two offices located in the Western United States.  In addition to providing additional opportunities to expand the regions in which we work and excellent experience in some of the world’s most challenging climates, it also means that we are closer to your project.  From San Diego to Houston, from El Paso to Whitefish, Hines Engineers have been retained to provide irrigation water resource management services for an excellent & diverse clientele.  We have also worked effectively with Client offices outside of the U.S. in project locations as varied as Portugal, the United Kingdom, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East.

As technology is developed to address the realities of a more complex world, more effective solutions to water resource conservation and management challenges are consistently in development and design at Hines Inc. Our staff includes Civil Engineers, IA certified Commercial Irrigation Designers (CID), and IA certified Landscape Irrigation Auditors (CLIA) who specialize in irrigation related systems design. Our expertise in storage lake design, pump and filter station mechanical design, and alternative water harvesting systems has been extremely valuable in being able to provide our clients with cost effective water savings strategies.

Jim Hines

Jim Hines

Mr. Hines has over twenty years of professional experience in the landscape and irrigation industry. His experience includes contracting, consulting, and irrigation engineering design services. Mr. Hines has also served as a manufacturer’s technical consultant and public relations specialist to the landscape architectural community. Jim’s engineering experience encompasses project work in the United States, the Far East, and Europe.

Nate Hines

Nate Hines

Nate Hines graduated from the University of Oxford receiving a first class designation for his senior thesis. While living in the UK, Nate managed a number of international design projects in London, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East. Nate is highly recognized for his work integrating sustainable solutions into the design process of large scale and unique projects by working closely with the planning team during the Design Development phase of a project. As Principal for the Company, Nate takes an active leadership role in the Urban Land Institute (Young Leader), the ASLA, and the Irrigation Association
