Google’s San Jose Campus Could Be Larger Than Expected

Google’s planned mega-campus in San Jose is getting bigger. A recent staff memo revealed the campus near Diridon Station could range from 6M SF to 8M SF, the Mercury News reports. The tech giant is planning a massive transit-oriented village of offices and facilities and would bring 15,000 to 20,000 employees to the area. The village would includ e office/research and development space, retail and other commercial amenities.

At 8M SF, the project would take up as much square footage as all of downtown San Jose’s office space, Ritchie Commercial Development President Mark Ritchie told the Mercury News.
