DocuSign is a San Francisco- and Seattle-based company that provides electronic signature technology and Digital Transaction Management services for facilitating electronic exchanges of contracts and signed documents. DocuSign’s features include authentication services, user identity management and workflow automation. Signatures processed by DocuSign are comparable to traditional signatures based on the product’s compliance with the ESIGN Act[2] as well as the European Union’s Directive 1999/93/EC on electronic signatures.[3]

The company has raised $443 million in financing since its founding in 2003.

 

 

Keith J. Krach

Keith J. Krach (born 1 April 1957) is an American businessman, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He is currently the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DocuSign, The Global Standard for Digital Transaction Management.[1] Krach co-founded Ariba, serving as Chairman and CEO[2] for which he is widely recognized as a pioneer of B2B Commerce.[3] He was also named National Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young[4] and received the Technology Pioneer Award at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

Early life and education

Krach was born in Lakewood, Ohio to Elda and John Krach.[6] Krach received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University[7] in 1979 and an M.B.A from Harvard University Business School in 1981.

Career

Krach began his career at General Motors as the youngest-ever vice president in 1984 at the age of 26.[8] He was a member of the founding team of Rasna Corporation which was sold to Parametric Technologies for $500 million in 1995.[9] Krach was co-founder, chairman and CEO of Ariba, which was acquired by SAP in 2012 for $4.3 billion.[10] Today nearly $1 trillion of commerce goes through the Ariba network annually.[11] From 2005 to 2011 Krach served as CEO of 3Points and in 2011 Krach became Chairman and CEO of DocuSign.
