Profile

Founded in 1832, Wabash College is one of three non-religious all men’s schools in the country. The private liberal arts college has a tiny student population of under 1,000 and offers 24 majors and 35 minors, as well as pre-professional programs in business, law and medicine. Social sciences, history and English are among the most popular fields of study. In the last year, the school has built or renovated 8 buildings, and a $24 million project for new student housing is under way. Students must pass senior comprehensive exams consisting of written and oral portions in order to graduate. About 40% of students participate in the school’s 12 NCAA Division III sports teams, and around 75% of students play for 9 intramural and club sports. Poet Ezra Pound held his first teaching position at Wabash. The school’s Suit Yourself program makes sure that all students have access to appropriate job interview attire.
