Founded in 1937 as the Bible Missionary Institute, Westmont College is a private Christian liberal arts college in Santa Barbara, CA. Students are offered 27 undergraduate majors, 33 minors and 12 pre professional programs. Biology, Communication Studies, Economics and Kinesiology are the most popular areas of study. Approximately 85% of students participate in volunteer service or outreach before graduating.They can also get involved in any of 32 student-led clubs and organizations on campus, such as the pre-health club, the Ultimate Frisbee team, the N’Step Hip Hop dance team and Dumbledore’s Army for Harry Potter fans. The WC Warriors have 12 varsity teams that compete in the Division I NAIA Golden State Athletic Conference. They have won eight NAIA championships and 64 GSAC team championships.
