Profile

Saint Michael’s College is a small Catholic liberal arts college in Colchester, VT. St. Mike’s offers 36 different majors and every student completes an experiential learning requirement that can be fulfilled through study abroad programs, service-learning or involvement in certain extracurricular activities. These programs include the Wilderness Program and the school’s fire and rescue organization, which is entirely student-run. The college is very residential, as 98% of students live in one of the 440-acre campus’ residential halls or townhomes. Close to the highly-recognized college town of Burlington, St. Mike’s students are near Lake Champlain’s beaches, top ski areas and companies like IBM and Ben and Jerry’s. Former Viacom and MTV CEO Tom Freston, Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy, and New York Times Baghdad bureau chief Tim Arango are among the school’s notable alumni.
