Jeremy Sorzano and Jason Webb played soccer together in college and professionally. They created Soccer Shots as a way to earn money during their off-season. With the success of their first two locations in Charlotte, North Carolina and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, friends and former teammates began asking how they could do the same, so they began franchising in 2005. Soccer Shots franchisees offer 30 to 40 minute weekly programs to teach children basic soccer skills and character-building lessons.

Mission. Our mission is to be the premier intro-to-soccer provider across the globe and to do so in such a way that it leaves a lasting impact on the youth we serve.

Method. We offer a quality, high-energy soccer program with principled instruction wrapped in fun. Our creative curriculum emphasizes soccer skills as well as character development, which transcends the game itself.

Motivation. Our motivation is to impact children in both soccer education and character development with application to all areas of children’s lives. We are motivated by a desire to see kids experience the game of soccer and to enjoy the rewards that participation in the game offers.

Jason Webb, Jeremy Sorzano, and Justin Bredeman attended college and played soccer together at Messiah College in the mid-90s. All three guys had distinguished playing careers at the collegiate level and each were team captains during their respective senior years. The experience of playing soccer at a small, Christian liberal arts college in Grantham, PA created strong bonds among the three “Js” that has led to the creation and successful development of Soccer Shots.

After graduating from college, Jason and Jeremy continued their soccer careers in Charlotte, NC where they played in the professional ranks with the Charlotte Eagles. During the off-seasons, Jeremy discovered a business niche of taking a quality soccer program to preschools and childcare centers. The early stage of Soccer Shots had begun. When Jason took the concept to his native area, Harrisburg, PA Soccer Shots was replicated successfully and the idea of franchising Soccer Shots began to take shape.

Meanwhile, after college, Justin forged a career at Auntie Anne’s, Inc. a franchise system specializing in hand-rolled soft pretzel stores. During his eight years working at the home office in various leadership positions, he gained experience with and insight into a successful franchise company. While Justin was at Auntie Anne’s, Jason and Jeremy launched Soccer Shots Franchising in 2005. Not long afterwards, Justin became a Soccer Shots franchise owner in his home of Lancaster, PA. In May 2009, Jason and Jeremy invited Justin to become a partner in Soccer Shots Franchising.

In the early days of Soccer Shots, a number of other friends, and friends of friends, became Soccer Shots franchise owners. The system grew organically, mostly through word of mouth. The franchise community continues to grow significantly through referrals. As Soccer Shots has become more prominent, franchise owners have found Soccer Shots through Entrepreneur Magazine, Inc. Magazine, web searches, and media coverage.

Today Jason, Jeremy, and Justin are still actively involved in the leadership and operations of Soccer Shots Franchising. Due to growth and the accompanying opportunities, the Soccer Shots staff is now comprised of other energetic, highly capable people who are active in training, franchise support, and internal operations.
